Recharge and Credit Card Management
Recharge is a billing feature that ensures you’re always able to pay for costs associated with your ShippingTree account. Most importantly, it keep your orders shipping on time.
To enable the Recharge function, you need to first add a credit card. To do so:
- Click the ‘billing’ icon, circled in red below:
- Next, click ‘Add Credit Card’ near the left hand side of the page
- Add your information and click ‘Add card.’ Your CC information is now saved.
Once you add your credit card information, you will see that your recharge settings default to the following:
That simply means that once your ShippingTree account reaches $0, you will be automatically charged $250. You have the option to adjust your recharge settings at any time. Recharge is required for all accounts with a credit card on file.
Note: We generally recommend increasing both the threshold and recharge amount to avoid multiple charges per day. The more you ship, the higher you’ll want to make both numbers. A good starting point is $1000 for the recharge amount and $250 for the Recharge Threshold.
*Please note that there is a 3% processing fee for credit cards. If you wish to avoid this fee, please consider using ACH payments instead.
