How to Create/Add Products

There are three ways to create or add products to your ShippingTree inventory:

1. Sync through Shopify/store integration (recommended)
2. Create/Add products manually
3. Upload products in bulk

To create or add products manually:

1. Click the ‘plus’ sign near the upper right hand corner of the ShippingTree app, then select Product

2. Fill in the requested fields:

• "Title": enter the name of the Product
• "Description": enter a description of the Product
• "SKU": enter the numerical SKU number/ID
• "Price": enter the price for use on commercial invoices
• "HS Code": enter the harmonized tariff code for international shipping
• "Inventory Control": if applicable, select the option needed for this Product; if not applicable, leave as "Default"
• "Promotional Item": check this box if this is a promotional item; see guidance here for Promotional Items Rules
• "Eligible for Media Mail": check this box if you’d like this product to be eligible to ship for USPS Media Mail shipping
• "Product Requires Scanning Serial Numbers": check this box if we must scan the individual serial number on each individual product when fulfilling an order

3. Click ‘Create Product’ and you’re done!

To upload products in bulk:

1. Click the ‘plus’ sign in near the upper right hand corner of the dash, then select ‘product’ (same as part 1 above)
2. Select Upload Products near the upper right hand corner

3. Download the .csv template and fill in the .csv exactly as outlined for all individual products. Then drag the file back into the dotted rectangle, and select Upload Products.

To verify that all products have been imported correctly, visit the Products section of the dashboard.
