International Shipping (Customs, Duties, Taxes)
We know that shipping internationally is important to growing your business. That’s why ShippingTree is happy to ship to your customers all over the globe.
How does it all work?
All ShippingTree packages are shipped as DDU (Delivery Duties Unpaid). This means that at the time the package arrives at the destination, your customer might owe duties and taxes. These costs vary from country to country and are based on the value of the package (including shipping costs).
What if there’s an issue?
On your end, you’ll want to make sure the information on your setting page is filled out in its entirety. The bottom portion will be the contact information that will be available to the carriers so they can reach out to you directly if an issue arises at customs.
Other options?
An international shipping option you might be interested in is called Passport. Passport and ShippingTree work together to offer you an international service which allows for DDP (Delivery Duties Paid). If you’re interested in setting up an account with Passport or you’d like to learn more about transportation and customs brokerage services, please reach out to us at support@shippingtree.co. We’re happy to provide you with some options that might help you.
